QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training.Saturday, January 24, 2026, 9:00 AM- NOONSaint Aloysius Parish Hall22800 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.
Often times, the simple offering of hope and social and spiritual support can avert a suicide attempt entirely.
Our trainer, Jevon Billups is an MHFA National Trainer and the DCBC Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator. Rev, Billups serves as the Vice President of the DC Baptist Convention for 2026.
Participants are asked to register below by January 17, 2026.
