The reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of Baptismal grace. For by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are bound more perfectly to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are as true witnesses of Christ more strictly obliged, as true witnesses of Christ, to spread and defend the faith by word and deed ( Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285).
Beginning in 2026, St. Aloysius Church will celebrate Confirmation in the Fall of the 8th-grade year. Students who wish to receive the sacrament should be enrolled in the Family of Faith program, Father Andrew White School, another Catholic school, or an appropriate homeschool curriculum. Contact Leonard Wathen to enroll in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
